V. Enforcement Procedure
The enforcement procedure is a procedure for the people's court to force the obligor to perform their obligations under a decree, an order, or any other legal document that has legally taken effect. The parties must comply with the decree, order, consent decree, and any other legal document as the basis of enforcement by a people's court. Where either party refuses to comply, the other party may file a petition for enforcement with the people's court. The period for filing a petition for enforcement shall be one year if both parties are individuals or either party is an individual, or six months if both parties are legal entities or other organization, in both cases counted from the last day of the performance period specified in the legal document.
